How It Works: Air Removal Through the Valve

This device works as a vacuum pump: it draws air out through a compatible bag's air valve. It does not heat-seal the bag opening. Close the bag's own seal before using the pump.

  1. Fill: place suitable contents inside the bag, leaving the clearance required by its instructions.
  2. Close: fully close the bag opening using its own closure.
  3. Position and pump: align the device with the air valve and press the button, following the device and bag instructions.
  4. Check and store: check the closure and valve seal, then store the contents appropriately.

The pump removes air through the valve; the bag opening must already be closed. Pumping time varies with the bag, contents and amount of air.

Food Storage: Choose Food-Contact Bags

For meal preparation and food storage, use compatible valve bags specifically rated for food contact. Confirm the bag manufacturer's intended use before packing food; do not assume every vacuum bag, including the supplied bags, is suitable for every food-storage application.
